She is an adjunct faculty member at KD Conservatory College and at Mountain View College teaching voice, acting, and the theater studies.
In her spare time she is typically found teaching Hip-Hop and Shakespeare to America's Youth. In her other, copious amounts of spare time she enjoys writing and working with some of the fine folks of Dallas improv.
A Brief History
Ashlee was born in York, Pennsylvania, just twenty minutes south of Harrisburg. Throughout her childhood and teen years she was involved in every aspect of the arts: music, dance, theater, choir, color guard, and yes, marching band. After a seeing a production of ANNE FRANK on a middle school field trip, and of course endless nights of TV Land studying Lucille Ball in "I Love Lucy", her path to the arts began.
With such a passion for the arts she taught herself piano and flute, began voice training, and taught herself ballet in her childhood room from a book titled, "The Young Persons Guild to the Ballet." Ashlee may or may not have broken a mirror or two while trying to learn fuéttes in her room which was far too small for a wobbly teen who had no idea what she was doing, but gets an A for effort!
After working on a few shows in the Harrisburg area, she moved to Philadelphia and attended Temple University receiving a B.A. in Theater and Communications with an emphasis in acting and directing. She also earned a minor in dance and music.
Ashlee is an EMC candidate and is currently deciding to go equity or... not. Because frankly, who cares about the money? Mama wants to work!
